Your business is already good. Your website should say so.

Custom-built websites for local businesses who don't have the time — or the patience — to do it themselves.

No cost, no obligation. You see the real thing before you pay for anything.

Steven Wireman

Hi — I'm Steven. I build every site myself. You won't be handed off to an account manager or a contractor overseas.

What you get

Three things, done properly.

Build it, launch it, look after it. That's the whole job.

  1. Build

Designed and built from scratch. No recycled templates, no cookie-cutter themes. Your site gets planned around how your business actually works, then built to fit it.

  2. Launch

Hosting, domain setup, and a smooth go-live, all handled. You never touch a DNS record or a registrar login. One day it isn't live. The next day it is.

  3. Support

Every site includes the care plan — updates, monitoring, and small edits whenever you need them. You email or call me directly. There is no ticket queue.

No cost, no obligation

See it before you pay for it.

Most people asking for a website are being asked to trust a stranger with a deposit. You shouldn't have to.

  1. Tell me about the business

Fifteen minutes on the phone, or a few messages. What you do, who you serve, and what you want the site to actually accomplish.

  2. I build you a real page

Not a wireframe. Not a stock template with your logo dropped on it. A working home page, with your words and your photos in it.

  3. You look it over

On your phone, at the shop, with your spouse. I'll send a link you can open anywhere. Take as long as you want with it.

  4. You decide

If it isn't right, say so and we're done — you owe me nothing. If it is, we finish the rest of the site.

Selected work

A few things worth showing.

Not everything I've built — just the three that best show how I work.

What happens next

Start to finish, no mystery.

You'll know what's happening at every stage, and roughly how long it takes.

  1. We talk

A short call about the business, what you need, and whether I'm the right fit. If I'm not, I'll say so.

    Day one
  2. You get a mockup

I build your home page for real and send you a link. No payment, no deposit, no commitment yet.

    3–5 days
  3. I build the rest

Once you're happy, half up front and I build the full site. You review it and tell me what to change.

    1–3 weeks
  4. We go live

I handle the domain, the hosting, and the switch-over. Then the care plan keeps it running.

    Ongoing

Based in Chelsea. I work with businesses in Jackson, Chelsea, Dexter, Grass Lake, Manchester and the surrounding area — and I'm happy to come to you rather than do all of this over email.

Questions

The things people ask first.

What does "copy" mean, and who writes it?

Copy just means the words on your website — the sentences on your home page, the description of each service, the paragraph about how you got started.

On Starter, you send me those words. Most people paste them into an email, or I pull what's already on your old site or your Facebook page and tidy it up.

On Standard and Growth, I write them for you. We talk for about half an hour about what you do, who your customers are, and what you want people to understand — and I turn that into the actual page text. You read it and tell me what's wrong before anything goes live.

Most people find writing about their own business much harder than they expect. That's exactly why it's included above Starter.

Do I own my website?

Yes. You own the domain, your content, and the finished site. The domain is registered in your name, not mine.

If you ever decide to leave, I hand over the files and transfer the domain to you or whoever you've hired next. Nothing is held hostage. I'd rather you stay because the work is good than because leaving is painful.

What if I want to stop the care plan?

Cancel any time with 30 days' notice. There's no contract and no cancellation fee, and I'll help move the site to wherever you're going.

How long does it take?

The free mockup takes three to five days. After that, a Starter site is usually about a week, Standard is two to three weeks, and Growth depends on what it has to do.

The honest answer is that the biggest delay is almost always waiting on photos and details from the business owner — so the more you have ready, the faster it goes.

I already have a website. Can you fix it instead?

Usually I rebuild rather than patch. Most older small-business sites sit on a pile of themes and plugins that costs more to untangle than to replace, and you end up paying for archaeology instead of a website.

That said, I'll look at yours and tell you honestly. If it's worth keeping, I'll say so — even though that's a smaller job for me.

What do you actually need from me?

Less than you'd think. A conversation, whatever photos you already have, your hours and contact details, and a look at the draft when it's ready.

You don't need to know anything technical. You will never be asked to touch a DNS record, a registrar login, or a hosting control panel — that's the part I'm handling.

Do I have to pay everything up front?

No. The mockup is free. After you approve it, it's half to start and half when the site goes live. The care plan starts the month after launch.

Why local

Who you're actually hiring.

  • Local, not outsourced

You can call and talk to the person actually building your site. Not an account manager. Not a contractor three time zones away.

  • Built by someone who builds things

A background in manufacturing engineering and hands-on work shows up in how a site gets planned and put together. Measure first, then build once.

  • Fair, transparent pricing

Packages are listed up front. No vague quotes, no pricing that depends on how the discovery call goes, no surprise invoices.

About

Hi — I'm Steven.

Plan it properly. Build it solid. Hand it over ready to run.

I serve as Assistant Pastor at Faith Baptist Church in Chelsea, where the same hands-on approach shows up in facility work, event planning, and technical production.

Before that, my background was in manufacturing — first as a production engineer, later as a robotics trainer. That mix of ministry, mechanical, and technical experience is where Cornerstone's approach comes from.

If you're a local business owner who knows the website needs doing and never has the time, that's exactly who I built this for. Call me and we'll talk it through — no cost, no pressure.
